Myreside Pavilion, George Watson’s College
James Clydesdale & Associates
Value: £1,100,000
Project Description
Works at Myreside Pavilion included internal reinstatement of the fire damaged original building shell; downtakings and stripping out; new flexible layout adaptable partitions; glazed doors and screens; new floor, wall and ceiling finishes; decoration; new MEP services throughout; upgraded firestopping and fire detection; CCTV installations; new commercial kitchen installation; new toilet core; bespoke joinery feature fittings, furniture and equipment; associated minor hard landscaping and drainage alterations.
The key to successful delivery of this refurbishment/fit out project was secure management of the campus live environment, prevention of (inquisitive or malicious) unauthorised access and mitigation of risk of injury, theft, and/or damage to the works. Timber hoardings were robust. Site surround Heras fence was triple clipped and propped with rubber feet turned in to reduce trip hazard. We displayed appropriate warning signage.
